Hey everyone! I just thought i'd show you this great, awesome mod for Arma2. Never heard of it? Neither have I until a few days ago! This game has gotten up in the top ten sales in Steam because of this mod. What Is Arma 2? Arma II is a super realistic, military "simulator". So that means every shot does realistic damage. Getshot in the leg? You can't walk! Want to do 360 noscopes off a roof? Nope, you'll break your legs! Here's the description off of steam: "ARMA II boasts the most realistic combat environment in the world. It models real world ballistics & round deflection, materials penetration, features a realtime day/night cycle and dynamic wind, weather and environmental effects" What is the DayZ mod? The DayZ mod turns the 225 sqaure Kilometer area Chenarus (the game's map) into a post-apocolyptic zombie wasteland. (although it already looked post apocolyptic to begin with). It is even more realistic, in that you must scavenge for food and water, zombies are attracted to blood, and a taking a few shots from an unfriendly player means death. This mod really makes me feel like I'm in the tv show The Walking Dead, as the zombies are more of an obstacle...it's the other players you should watch out for. This doesnt mean every player is out to get you. You'll run into some friendlies and you can team up and go from town to town, getting guns, ammo, supplies, all while avoiding the Zombies and other players. There is no real objective, or end game. Just survive. If you die, you respawn with just the basic backpack you started out with. This mod is hella fun. you should all get it and come play with me. I wasnt able to play it on my mac and I had to install bootcamp and windows 7 to play it. I have it now, if you want we can play it sometimes, and yes. I am more afraid from Survivors than zombies. :S
I got it, but when ever I can find out how the hell to get steam to combine arma II and operation arrowhead I'll get back to you ^^
Did you get "combined operations" on steam? Also so glad to see people actually got it! We should totally play sometime!
No I got ARMAII when It came out, Combined Operations is a combination of ArmaII andARMA Operation arrowhead, I found out how to do it, now just to download and do all the fun steam stuff :3, I already have the mod installed and everything so time to wait untill download complete
Ok, everything is set up on my side, as In downloading, but I am having a horrible time getting anything to work, I got ARMA2 to run and now Operation Arrowhead is giving me a 3d graphic engine problem :/ so I'm not getting very far
Just got it working after about 10 hours of strait problems, had to re-download and not use six launcher ;3, So whenever you can, post server name and times you are usually on
Yes I have a mic, But from playing a little bit, my computer lags like there is no tomorrow :/ I have been looking on the forums and it says that its internet/server not my high powered computer
Ha, once I got the beta download for arma there is no more lag , and I am on the server, What is your IGN?
