2.0 Outsider
As soon as you start on Minecraftserver.com you should read ALL of the signs in the noob spawn (the place where you start) they will help you a lot and stop you from needing to be asking server staff or players what to do.

2.1 Applying
To apply on the server click on this link:

You should now sign in with your curse account. If you don't have a curse account yet then simply click on the "Register now!" button in the top tight corner of the site.

Now press the "Reply to topic" button
In your application all you need is your In Game Name
Now Post your reply.

Go back into Minecraft and saa "Is there any available mod or admin to give me building rites?"
If there is not a mod or a admin online they should shortly make you a settler but if there isn't just be patient and wait until one does come it will all be worth it.

3.0 Tips
Now you have entered the world of fun that is minecraftserver.com your going to need some tips so here's a select few.
-Don't bug the staff
-Don't ask to be teleported to people, it will be a no
-Don't ask for items
-Be polite
-Get to know your way around spawn
-Find a friend
With these few basic tips which is common sense you should be able to enjoy your time on the server.

4.0 Setting up a 75x75 region
4.1 Finding a location for your region
To build you need to be 500 blocks away from spawn (don't count) I would advise going about 2000-3000 blocks out , this may seem a long way but it gives you a great opportunityy to collect some basic resourcess like wood, seeds, food. You may not have enough food to sustain the journey but do not be scared, help is it hand in the form of /back. This command allows you to go back to your previous location.

4.2 Marking out the region
Now that you have arrived at your desired location it is time to mark out the area. To do this you can simply count out a 75x75 square or use coordiantes to help you if you know how to use them. Once you have done this clearly mark out 2 opisite corners. Once you have done this you should now say "is there a mod or admin avalible to set up my region?". As before with building rites there may or may not be one on or avalible so just wait if there isnt one on. They will teleport to you, if it is a standard mod the will need for you to accept the teleport so simply type "/tpaccept" if needed. You will need to show them your to opisite corners. They will have your region set up in seconds.

4.3 Commands for your region
If you want to keep your region safe from creepers and fire and let freinds build there these are a few commands you need to know,
/region addmember (region ID) (player name) -allow a player to build in your regio
/region addowner (region ID) (player name)- Allows a player to add other players to the region, set other owners and hcnage other setting

4.4 Region Tips
-Build a wall around it to stop other players getting into it
-Right click the floor with string to find out, If you can build in your area and The name of the region your in (if any)

5.0 Lockette
Lockette is a excelent plugin which allows you to allock chests, doors, trapdoors, dispensers and furnaces. They are also protected from fire, explosions or another player trying to destroy them.

5.1 Sign Layout
To lock the object place the sign 1 block in front of the objec, you should type on the sign
1st Line [private]
2nd Line (playername)
not with the ()
e.g
1st Line [private]
2nd Line Andyz118

If you want to add more than one player to the chest simply add the names on the lines below, though remember it is 1 name per line. If you run out of lines on the sign just place another sign on the block behind the object, this is what you should write on it.
1st Line [MoreUsers]
2nd Line (playername)
e.g
1st Line [MoreUsers]
2nd Line Andyz118

If you want everyone to be able to use this object simply type
1st Line [private]
2nd Line (player name)
3rd Line [Everyone]

5.2 Chests
To lock a chest you just place a sign on and of the blocks around the chest and typer one of the examples above onto it or you could go with the easy option just place the sign on the chest and will come up with
[private]
(playername)
on the chest automatically, if you want to change te sign without remove it see the commands section below.
If you then place another sign on the chest it will automaticaly put
[moreusers]
[everyone]
on that sign meanng that everyone can acsess the chest.

If you are orginising chest then you can just put a item name on the lockette and it won't effect it though if people have the exact name of item on there chest they can acsess it, but its very unlikely that any one does.

5.3 Doors
To lock doors place a sign directly in front or behind of door, you can also place it on the wall directly above the the front or the back of the door. It is the same procses as chests but it dosnt do it automatically.
This works with double doors and not only single so it makes it easier. If you are one for forgetting to close doors or its a public door just type
[private]
(player name)

[timer:ammount of time]
It is inportant that the timer part is at the bottom of the sign

You find that if dealling with double door that they can get out of sync and 1 will close but one will be open so there is a way to fix this just type /lockette fix while looking at the door in question and it will put them back in sync.

5.4 Furnaces and Dispencers
Furnaces and dispensers are very similar to chests on the side of lockette, you can simply just place a sign on them and its automatically locked, and to edit and such see the chest section.
You may think if i place a sign on the front of a dispenser it wont work, but it has no effect on it at all so there is no need to worry.

5.5 Commands
/lockette (line number) (text)- Edits signs on locked containers. Right click on the sign to edit.
/lockette fix -Fixes an automatic door that is in the wrong posistion. Look at the door to edit.

6.0 Stargates
Stargates are the main method for transportation. Without knowing how to use them your time on the server may be made very difficult. Stargates are based on a system of networks. The main one we use is "reavers" network, this is a public network which most towns and sevral otherplaces like that.They are basically nether portals but with a sign and a button on them.

6.1 How to use them
When you come to a stargate you willm see a sign, on this sign i should tell you the network and the name of this gate. To veiw the other gates avalible on the network right click or left clcik on the sign. The right click and left click allows you to go up and down. To go up left click, to go down right click. When you have found the place you would like to go hit the button and go threw the portal.

6.2 How to make them
Make a 4x5 obsidian sqaure (like you would a nether portal) place a button on either side and a sign on the opisite.
On the sign write:
1st Line Gatename
2nd Line Destination name (optional)(for fixed gates only)
3rd Line Network name (optional but needed for say putting it on a network)
4th Line Options (Optional)(admins use only at the moment)

Only travelers and admins+ can make stargates, for how to become a travelr see ranks section below.

8.0 Chest Shops
Chest Shops are a large part of trading on the server. The majority of them are at the market (see above for location). You can buy or sell items using money.
Sadly i dont have much knowlage on this subject but i do know a person who does.

9.0 Ranks
You may have been whatching chat and wondering what all these colours mean well here they are, and what each ranks means and does.
NoobSteve-Outsider-Cant do anything but walk and /spawn, Apply for building rights to be able to build
Steve-Settler-This is the beggining of your jurney you can now build and do prety much everthing that a player should be able to do
OldSteve-Vetsetler/Elder-This player has been on the server for 3 months now (they asked a mod/admin to check this so they can get the rank) They can do everthing a normal Setler can do and do cloured signs and Breath underwater with GoldHelmet on.
ExplorerSteve-Travler-Rank is acheived by finding and completeing a catacomb and then showing it to a admin/mod. They get all the setler ranks + Vet perk of underwater breathing with goldhelm. They can also make stargates and use compass (it has /jumpto hooked onto it)
+RichishSteve-Donater-They get all vet perks +Magic carpet with /mc, acheived buy donating $8
++ToRichSteve-SuperDonater-They get all vet perks and all donater perks +a super pick (//) and /ml (magiccarpet but it's got a ring of glow stone around it). You get this by donating $50+ to the server
*CandyDroppingSteve-Mod-Here to help with setting up regions and rolling back greifs. They will help you in any way they can. They will kick and jail you if your naughty.
*LazyCandyDroppingSteve-LeadMod-Can do all the mod things mod can do, they can mute, and ban. They will help you in any way they can if there arn't normal mods on, they rely on there light blue minions.
**LazyerSteve-Admin-Can do everything leadmods can do + world edit and make stargates
**LazyestSteve-LeadAdmin-Can do pretty much anything inlcudeing Unbaning.
**RetiredSteve-RetiredAdmins-Mgn
It is important that you respect all players never mind there rank.
Do not ask to become a Staff member, the answer will be no. Staff are specifically chosen.

10.0 Money
Our currency of the server is gold ignots. We use this because if the Currency was non object then it would be like spawning money from knowhere which is very unrealistic.

10.1 How to earn money
No one will make you a guide on how to get rich quick so dont ask, but there are many ways of making it heres a few.
1, Mine-no longer avoid any of that useless gold it has been put to use.
2, Tradeing-Trade materials with other player
3, Merchanting- Buy an item for a low price and sell it at a higher.
4,Lottery-Not always guarentteed but can win large ammounts of gold if your lucky
5, Enchanting- Can be a form of merchanting put this can make you 100's of ignots in a more intersting way than mining (it's my trade)

10.2 Depositing and Withdrawing Money
Once you have arrived at the bank you will see 2 signs on each sides of the bank wall, these are where you can withdraw and deposite you gold. To deposite you scroll to the deposit line by left clicking the sign once you have reached the deposit line right click to deposite, you must have gold ignots in your inventory to do this. Simarly to withdraw scroll to the withdraw line and right click the sign to withdraw.

10.3 Sending money
You dont have to simply pass the ignots in item form you can tranfer it from one bank account to another. All you have to do with the Gold ignots in the bank type
/money pay (playername) (ammount)
e.g /money pay andyz118 100

10.4 Checking your money
Checking you money is a important feature, so you can check how much money you have so you can check if you can afford things before embarrising your self mid trade
