Let me start off: If any of you are familiar with Harvest Moon; this game is basically a clone of that. Also, Stardew Valley has surprisingly risen to fame in the short time it's been out. **Background: Stardew Valley, developed by Eric "ConernedApe" Barone and published by ChuckleFish, came out on February 26th, 2016, is a top best-seller on Steam, it also has a 10/10 rating. It has been in development for 4 years; Eric Barone designed Stardew Valley to teach himself how to use C#. **Plot: The protagonist receives a letter from his/her dying grandfather, telling him/her not to open it until he/she is crushed by the burden of life, the cutscene then skips 20 years later, when the protagonist has grown up. He/she is shown working at Joja Corporation, a dystopian megacorp. The protagonist becomes miserable a few moments later, they then open the letter his/her grandfather gave them. The letter's exact words are: “If you're reading this, you must be in dire need of a change. The same thing happened to me, long ago. I'd lost sight of what mattered most in life... real connections with other people and nature. So I dropped everything and moved to the place I truly belong.” The letter then states where Stardew Valley is. **Gameplay: There are many things to do in Stardew Valley. Farming (the main objective), foraging, fishing, mining, combat, socializing with other villagers, exploring, even marrying marriage-able villagers, and if that's not realistic enough, you can even have children (if married)! Stardew Valley consists of all 4 seasons, of which certain crops can be grown and certain fish can be caught. **Note: There is a lot more to this game, but I can't be bothered to explain it.
