Southern Norway and Northern Minnesota (where I live) are only a few hundred miles different in regard to latitude. I'm sure Norway gets much colder, but we hit -30f (or lower) in the winters.
I just looked into it and Norway actually doesn't get all that cold for how far north it is. Minnesota has it beat for low temperatures by quite a bit! So I win! (or lose maybe...)
