Minecraft 1.9 Server

If you wish to play Minecraft 1.9 prerelease 5 with other minecraft hardcore nerds, we have created a minecraft 1.9 prerelease 5 test server, just connect with your updated client to:

minecraftserver.com:25566

Please note this is a minecraft 1.9 prerelease 5 test server, you can not connect with a 1.8.1 Minecraft client nor with any other 1.9 prerelease client! The main purpose of our test server is to examine the performance impact on our hardware of the new 1.9 Minecraft server, if you can not connect it is because the server has been taken offline. Please have fun, anything goes!

Minecraft 1.9 prerelease 5:

Jeb recently tweeted Minecraft 1.9 prerelease 5 is out for testing! It doesn’t add new features, but a lot of changes!

Changes:
- Block of iron texture is changed.
- You now have mushroom biome grass in your creative inventory.
- Fence Posts no longer connect to leaves.
- More achievements.
- Annoying Stair glitch fixed.
- Option to disable clouds in menu.
- F6 = smooth walking It seems to allow you to fly strait but not up or down (works on survival). It acts as a noclip, lets you go through blocks… Your Y co-ordinate doesn’t change.
- F9 Adds a fixed camera angle. ( You can move this with I, J, K, and L)

How To Install Minecraft 1.9 Prerelease 5: (Windows)

1. Press the ‘Windows’ key on your keyboard and the ‘R’ key at the same time
2. Now type %appdata%
3. Locate your .minecraft folder
4. Navigate down into to your bin folder located inside the .minecraft folder
5. Right click on the file named minecraft and rename it minecraftold
5. Download the new minecraft.jar and drag or copy to the bin folder.
6. Run Minecraft as normal to play prerelease 5 of Minecraft 1.9

How To Restore Minecraft 1.8.1 (Windows)

1. Press the ‘Windows’ key on your keyboard and the ‘R’ key at the same time
2. Now type %appdata%
3. Locate your .minecraft folder
4. Navigate down into to your bin folder located inside the .minecraft folder
5. Delete the file named minecraft
5. Select the file named minecraftold right click and select rename change to minecraft
6. Run Minecraft as normal to play Minecraft 1.8.1 again

Minecraft 1.9 prerelease 4

Jeb recently released Minecraft 1.9 prerelease 4, so grab the download now ready for some weekend Minecrafting fun! The prerelease sadly doesn’t include Ender dragons, but this update contains a lot of new content:

  • Moon/Sun are round. Moon has phases.
  • Glistering Melon added. Crafted with Melon and Gold Nugget. Non-edible.
  • From Jeb: The exit from “The End” is the end. Then you respawn.
  • Cutting up melon gives you 1 melon slice. Bug.
  • Ender dragons skins exist.
  • “The End” is the new realm.
  • Water freezes faster.
  • Enchantment Table now has a tooltip name on creative mode.
  • The potion of swiftness now leaves a visible effect on the player.
  • Signs can be rotated easier.
  • You can attack/kill mobs through glass.
  • Multiple enchantments can be placed on a weapon.
  • Supports HD Texture packs.

If you want to have Enderdragons and go to “The End” easily, download these 2 files and install them.

kt.class
nf.class

Gold sword right click spawns an EnderDragon, right click of diamond sword teleports you to “The End”.

How To Install kt.class and nf.class: (Windows)

1. Press the ‘Windows’ key on your keyboard and the ‘R’ key at the same time
2. Now type %appdata%
3. Locate your .minecraft folder
4. Navigate down into to your bin folder located inside the .minecraft folder
5. Open your 1.9 prerelease 4 minecraft.jar with WinRAR or WinZIP
6. Drag and drop the downloaded .class files into your minecraft.jar
7. Run Minecraft as normal to play prerelease 4 of Minecraft 1.9

How To Install Minecraft 1.9 Prerelease 4: (Windows)

Minecraft Ender Dragons

Ender Dragons!

Now that Ender Dragons are going to be introduced, here is a video preview of what the new Ender Dragons are capable of! The dragons seem to have a good working animation, better than the Ghasts. Look at the damage they can cause, this is the main reason Ender Dragons won’t be added to the main world, but for all those that wanted dragons in the real world, Notch said on twitter recently he is going to add another dragon to the main world, a red dragon that is not destructive.

Its really starting to look like this is going to be great when 1.9 is official, if you are impatient you can download and try now, remember it will probably still have some bugs.

Free Minecraft Download 1.9
Jeb over on twitter has tweeted the availability to download Minecraft 1.9 prerelease 2 for minecraftians to test so just click here to download. Notch also posted that we will see at least two more major content additions to the game, before the code freeze prior to the official November launch of Minecraft.

Minecraft 1.9 Prerelease 2 includes:

New Items:

  • Nine new music discs.
  • Blaze powder.
  • Magma cream.
  • Glass bottle.
  • Spider eye (dropped by spiders) and fermented spider eye.

Game Mechanics:

  • Hardcore mode: game over when you die, hearts have new icons.
  • Golden apple now has a shining animation.
  • Pressure plates on top of fence posts now make sound when you walk on them or next to them.
  • Villagers has no names (No more TESTIFICATE).
  • Holding the spacebar allows you to jump continuously again.
  • The enderman pearls now teleports you when thrown.
  • Endermen teleport to dodge arrows. Endermen teleport a lot more.
  • Item repair! Put two damaged items in the crafting grid.
  • F5 view cycling.
  • Fences now attach to adjacent blocks, has an interesting outcome when used certain ways.
  • Pumpkins can be “crafted” into 4 Pumpkin Seeds.
  • Zombie Pigmen now drop rotten flesh or gold bits randomly.
  • F8 cinematic mode is back.
  • New tooltip design.
  • Glass panes now shatter when mined.
  • Mob health seems to have been rebalanced.
  • Fence hitbox fixed.
  • Exp orbs now are the score when you die.
  • Poison timer in inventory.

Animal Breeding:

  • Feed passive mobs wheat to make them breed with each other.
  • Passive mobs follow you when wheat is selected.
  • No sheep colour inheritance.
